This morning I am filled with gratitude for my soul path. Holidays are a time when we experience flashes of memory about our past: what we did on this same day so many years ago, who we were with, what we were feeling at the time. For me this mini life-review serves as a reminder of how far I have come and how much I have changed. I am counting my blessings and there are so many blessings to count.
I remember many Thanksgivings when gratitude was not so easily within my reach.
Do you ever get stuck in wanting things to be perfect—so stuck
that you stop sharing your gifts with others? I recently had a huge lesson around this which I
would like to share with you.
A couple of months ago, I was approached by a newspaper
reporter who wanted to do a story about me for the Arkansas Times. His mother had heard me speak at a Conscious
Awareness Network meeting and she recommended me to him as a subject for a
column about people with interesting personal stories.
All Can Heal
Today is Mardi Gras, a day of festive celebration. Having lived 42 years in the
great city of New Orleans, I am flooded with happy memories of wearing costumes,
eating king cake, marching in parades, dancing in the streets to the Mardi Gras
Mambo, and shouting, "Throw me something, Mister!" for beads and doubloons.
My plan was to stay in the Big Easy--at some level don't we all
wish for this?Sometimes Spirit has a different plan.

Hot Springs, Arkansas when the unthinkable devastation of Hurricane Katina
Heart Felt Message
Valentine's Day, 2014
The ALL is everything that Is. This moment. Now. The Brilliance
that uplifts. The shadow that offers lessons. All aspects pulsing in this
moment. Always stretching us. Holding us. Supporting us. Providing exactly what
we need in every moment. Calling us to fall deep into the Heart of God.
It is always there for us, waiting, holding space for our
return. We can resist or we can embrace. We can deny or we can experience.
Still it calls us home, waiting in eternal patience for us to understand that
we are loved.
New Year's Message
Jan. 1, 2014
Dear 2013 and the lovely people who shared it with me,
Thank you for an amazing year. I am grateful for so many things. It has been an honor to witness the old structures falling away as the beautiful new paradigm takes root and begins to bloom.
What freedom comes as we gain awareness that the old ways no longer work. The energies of hierarchical dominance, manipulation, force, and control are losing the grip they once had over us. As we naturally open our hearts more and more, we turn away from organizations that operate under these old energies.
I invite you to join me this winter solstice in a process of deepening. It is time to go deep within to the recesses of soul that are always present but rarely experienced.
- What truths are we hiding from ourselves?
- What inner resources have we overlooked?
- How can we go deeper into the light of who we are?
Some powerful words have been playing in my consciousness this week. They provide keys for the answers to these questions.

Making Authentic Choices
In the last few months, I have had many students and clients coming to me with the same dilemma. They are agonizing over whether or not they should take a certain class or training or series of sessions or initiations that another teacher or healer strongly recommended to them. The people I am referring to seem to be in pain as they contemplate the decision to take the recommended offering, or not. The idea of the particular class or offering has become an albatross around their neck—an unbearable burden.
Have you Kissed Your Shadow Lately
Today is the Autumnal Equinox, one of two days each year
when we experience equivalent amounts of darkness and light. It is a great time
for us to acknowledge the coexisting darkness and light within us as we center
ourselves between these seemingly opposing forces.
In 1997 I had a three day out-of-body experience that
occurred spontaneously while I was praying to Blessed Mother Mary for Divine
The seashell pictured above contains the spiral for loving yourself more deeply. If you have experienced repeated physical, verbal, mental, or emotional abuse in your life, you may struggle to love yourself even though you find it easy to love others. Being able to love yourself is an important key to healthy relationships. When we love ourselves, we are better able to succeed in all areas of life.
There are four levels of self-love:
I was in my kitchen this afternoon when my guides said, "Balance a broom. Do it now!" So I did.
Pretty cool. I had seen other people do this on or around the equinox but I had never been able to do it myself. Then today, as if by magic, I placed the broom on its end and before I could even try to balance it, it was as if a magnet pulled it out of my hands into the exact position.
I was so excited that I called my friends and asked them to try it.
